DESIRE UNDER PRESSURE™
Couples Intensive

Zoom in. Go deep. Create a breakthrough.

A DESIRE UNDER PRESSURE™ Couples Intensive is a focused two- or three-day deep dive into one specific issue affecting your desire, intimacy or connection.

Maybe emotional safety has broken down. Maybe differences in desire and arousal keep creating pressure. Maybe the mental load has left little room to be lovers. Maybe touch has become so loaded that neither of you knows how to reconnect.

Rather than trying to tackle all of these pressure cycles at once, we choose one topic, go deep, and work toward a meaningful shift over a 2- or 3-day intensive.

Together, we'll explore what's happening, understand the pattern underneath it, experiment with new ways of responding, and create a concrete way to carry the work into everyday life.

This isn't about solving your entire relationship in a weekend. It is about creating a breakthrough in one area that feels relevant to your life.

Your intensive might focus on one of the following:

  • Understanding desire and arousal differences — exploring how each of you experiences desire, arousal and initiation, and finding ways to bridge the gap without pressure or resentment.

  • Creating emotional safety — building the trust and openness that allow both partners to be vulnerable, honest, and connected without feeling pressured, rejected, or judged.

  • Bridging the touch–emotional intimacy gap — understanding different pathways to connection and creating a way for both partners to get what they need to feel close and desired.

  • Making time to be lovers — creating the space, priorities, and structures that help you reconnect as partners and lovers, not just co-managers of everyday life.

  • Managing the mental load and chores — exploring how the invisible work of keeping life running affects resentment, attraction, connection, and desire — and creating a more sustainable way to share it.

  • Tantric touch without pressure — exploring touch as a source of pleasure, presence, and connection without every touch having to lead to sex.

  • Or another specific pressure affecting your relationship.

What the Intensive Looks Like

Before

Once we've established that an intensive is appropriate for you, you'll complete preparation questions so I can understand your history, your current challenges and what you most want to accomplish. We'll identify the areas that need our attention before we begin.

During

We'll meet privately on Zoom for concentrated sessions across two or three days. Typically we meet for two 2-hour sessions each day, with lunch in between, over two or three days.

There will be breaks between sessions so you can rest, process and integrate what we're working on. The exact structure will be tailored to you.

After

Your intensive doesn't end when our time together does.

You'll also have a 2-hour follow-up session to look at what happens when you return to everyday life, address what comes up, and make sure you have the support and structure you need to continue the work.

Online worldwide. And in person in select European locations.

DESIRE UNDER PRESSURE™ Couples Intensives are available online via Zoom, allowing me to work with couples wherever they are in the world.

In-person intensives are also available at select locations in Europe. If you're interested in an in-person intensive, ask about current locations and availability when you schedule your consultation.

Choose Your Intensive

There are two intensive formats: 2-day and 3-day.

Both are designed around a specific topic or pressure affecting sex, desire and your connection.

The 3-day option creates additional space for four hours of individual work alongside the couples sessions.

You don't need to decide which format is right for you before we speak. Whether individual sessions are useful — and how they are incorporated — will be determined during your consultation. We'll look at what's happening in your relationship, the topic you want to focus on, and what format would be most helpful for you.

Why a Focused Intensive Works

You get to focus on one thing, deeply.

Instead of touching on five different problems in a one-hour session, we can stay with one issue long enough to understand it from different angles and work with what is actually happening between you.

We work on the topic in real time.

It's one thing to understand your relationship intellectually. It's another to notice what happens between you as it is happening — and have someone there to help you slow it down, understand it differently and try something new.

You have time to experiment.

An intensive gives us space to try new ways of communicating, responding, touching, setting boundaries or structuring your life together — and see what happens.

The goal is a breakthrough.

A breakthrough doesn't mean everything is resolved.

It means something that felt stuck, confusing or impossible has shifted enough that you can see a different way forward — and know what you're going to do differently when you return to everyday life.

You leave with something concrete.

The intensive isn't just about having meaningful conversations. The outcome is not simply insight. It is concrete things you can do differently. We'll translate what you discover into practical tools, agreements, experiments, or structures that you can take back into your everyday life.

Depending on your topic, that might mean:

  • A new way of responding when one partner reaches and the other pulls away

  • A shared understanding of how each of you experiences desire and arousal

  • A plan for creating more time and space to be lovers

  • New agreements around chores and the mental load

  • A way to create emotional safety during difficult conversations

  • A new approach to touch that takes pressure off sex

  • Specific practices to help you reconnect outside the bedroom

We'll identify the changes you want to carry into everyday life and turn them into concrete practices, agreements, experiments or structures.

You'll know:

  • What you’re changing.

  • Why you’re changing it.

  • What you’re going to try.

  • How to know whether it's working in the future.

That's what makes it a breakthrough intensive.

A breakthrough isn't about fixing your entire relationship in two or three days.

It's about getting to a point where something that felt confusing, stuck or impossible becomes clearer, more workable and actionable.

You leave with a deeper understanding of the issue, a different way of approaching it, and a concrete path for continuing the change at home.

Is a DESIRE UNDER PRESSURE™ Intensive right for you?

An intensive may be a good fit if:

  • You love each other but have become sexually disconnected.

  • You've been caught in the same sex-related arguments for years.

  • One of you feels rejected while the other feels pressured.

  • Touch has become complicated or loaded.

  • You've stopped initiating because rejection hurts too much.

  • You've stopped touching because you don't want it to lead to sex.

  • You've tried talking about the problem over and over without getting anywhere.

  • You've tried couples therapy or other approaches and still feel stuck — and don’t have another several months to get to the root of things

  • Your busy life makes weekly sessions difficult to sustain.

  • You want to understand what's actually happening rather than simply trying harder to have sex.

  • You're both willing to look honestly at your own part in the patterns between you.

  • You want to find your way back to each other — sexually, emotionally and romantically.

What the Intensive Can — and Can't — Do

An intensive is not designed to resolve every issue in your relationship.

It's designed to give one important issue the time, attention and depth it deserves.

Over two or three days, we can slow down what usually happens too quickly, see the pattern more clearly, experiment with something different, and identify what needs to change when you return to everyday life.

The breakthrough happens around one topic. The work continues at home.

An Intensive May Not Be the Right Fit If:

  • There is a significant relationship crisis that needs to be stabilized before working on sexual connection.

  • There are deep or longstanding relationship issues that require more extensive work before an intensive can be productive.

  • One or both partners are not genuinely willing to participate or are attending primarily because the other partner is pressuring them.

  • There is a recent or ongoing affair or major breach of trust that has not yet been addressed.

  • One partner is looking for the intensive to change, fix, or convince the other partner to want sex.

  • There are significant individual issues that need to be addressed separately before the couple can safely and productively do this work.

The goal is to make sure the intensive is the right fit.

That's why we'll have a consultation before scheduling your intensive. We'll talk about what's happening in your relationship, what you're hoping to accomplish, and whether concentrated work together makes sense for where you are right now.

If an intensive isn't the right next step, I'll tell you.
