About Irene Fehr, Sex & Intimacy Coach
Certified Coach. Writer. Speaker.
I am a sex & intimacy coach who's helped hundreds of women and couples reclaim their libido and passion for sex in long-term relationships.
On a fierce mission to help as many women and couples affected by loss of libido, painful sex and sexless relationships, I offer various ways to work with me:
I have a growing private coaching practice in the Denver, Colorado Metropolitan Area and work with clients worldwide over the phone and Skype.
My writing has been featured in the Huffington Post, ScaryMommy, Thrive Global, Thought Catalog, and Medium. I am frequently quoted sex expert in Elite Daily and Bustle and have been a featured guest on several podcasts including EverythingEHR - Mental Health Radio, Live in Your Truth Radio, Honor the Feminine, and was one of the speakers at 2016 Ignite Howard County.
Why I do this work?
I’ve lived through a fair share of challenging relationships and intimacy experiences that have brought me to where I am today.
My own personal experience of losing my libido and ending up in a sexless marriage led me to create tools to reconnect to who I am, what I want, and the gain the skills needed to ask for what I deeply want — and deserve. I rediscovered my sexual fire, developed the ability to experience deep and fulfilling orgasms, and opened my heart to deeper intimacy and love than I had ever dreamed of — all of which I am here to share with you to help you do the same.
As a sex and intimacy coach, I am committed to walking alongside you on your own personal journey and helping you access more of your rightful pleasure, joy and love in your sex life.
Training & Background
I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) from the prestigious Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, CA.
To effectively help my clients remove blocks, rewire their system to feeling sexual desire and create new intimacy patterns that form the foundation to a thriving sex life, I blend together a variety of coaching modalities and extensive study of women's sexuality, sexual practices such as Orgasmic Meditation and Tantra, mindfulness, positive psychology, neuroscience, shadow work, body awareness, movement therapy, guided visualizations, and intuitive work.
My couples work is deeply rooted in the evidence-based Gottman Method Couples Therapy approach as well as Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy to help clients break patterns of disconnection and deepen intimacy.
Focusing on a body-oriented healing of relational trauma and loss of libido, I incorporate the Somatic Experiencing® method to sexuality and relational coaching.
In addition to my coaching, I am a contributing Faculty at the newly-founded DiaNova Institute for Intimacy Studies.
Before becoming a sex and intimacy coach, I was a corporate marketing maven, with experience in some of the world's largest companies in Silicon Valley and on Wall Street. As a graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University and Stanford University with a BA and MA in Philosophy, I can proudly say that I've been a life-long student of what it means to lead a good life.
